Burnout: when work becomes a source of dissatisfaction

If there is one thing that can undermine our job satisfaction, it is burnout. Feeling exhausted and overwhelmed by the demands of the job can negatively affect our well-being and our perception of our chosen career. Burnout can turn a profession we love into a source of stress and dissatisfaction; activities we used to be passionate about begin to seem exhausting and meaningless.

This situation can be caused by a combination of factors, such as an excessive workload, constant pressure, lack of support or recognition, and a feeling of having little control over one's responsibilities.

Naturally, burnout affects our mental and physical health, our personal relationships, and even our ability to make decisions and deal with daily challenges. It can turn into a downward spiral, further fueling feelings of frustration and helplessness.

When we recognize that we face a circumstance of burnout, there are strategies we can adopt to overcome it and regain control of our health and happiness.

Some things may seem obvious, but in everyday life we don't even think about them. Try taking a break or talk to your supervisor to find a solution.

It is critical to establish healthy boundaries between work and personal life, there are so many roles that involve a very high workload and it seems "the tasks never end" so you must be the one to set priorities and boundaries.

Reflect on your priorities in life and career. Try to identify what really motivates you and what gives you a sense of accomplishment. It may be time to make significant changes in your career, such as seeking new opportunities or pursuing different passions and interests.

Remember that you are worthy of a fulfilling career and that your health and happiness are important. Face burnout with determination and confidence that you can overcome it. Be prepared to make the choices necessary to restore balance in your life and create a career that makes you happy and fulfilled.

If you think you are in this situation and would like to confront someone, we are available to talk about it and try to address burnout together!
